BO Shocker: Bengal Files, Baaghi 4 Left Far Behind

Conjuring leads India box office sales

As the weekend draws near, the Indian box office is gearing up for major releases. Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4, Vivek Agnihotri’s controversial The Bengal Files, and the latest horror instalment The Conjuring: Last Rites are all set to clash.

While expectations were high for Baaghi 4 and The Bengal Files, the sudden surge in pre-sales for The Conjuring: Last Rites has taken everyone by surprise. The horror franchise appears ready to dominate.

With over 34,000 tickets already sold in national cinema chains, The Conjuring: Last Rites is heading towards a massive opening at the box office.

This strong pre-release buzz suggests The Conjuring may easily outperform both The Bengal Files and Baaghi 4 during the weekend.

The franchise enjoys a strong fan base in India, which likely explains its impressive ticket sales. Previous instalments of The Conjuring also saw major success in the country.

In contrast, Baaghi 4 has sold just over 7,000 tickets so far. Its opening seems far weaker compared to its horror rival.

It remains to be seen if numbers improve by the time the film hits theatres. At this rate, the weekend may turn into a horror show-not just on screen, but also for Baaghi 4 and The Bengal Files.
