3 Big Films, No Release: Krithi Shetty’s Bad Luck?

Krithi Shetty’s Tamil Films Face Delays

Ever since the release of Abdi Abdi, the first single from Genie starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Krithi Shetty, fans have flooded social media with praise. Edits, dance clips, and appreciation posts highlight Krithi’s energy and glamour in the song.

Amid the buzz, some users have brought attention to Krithi Shetty’s struggle in the Kollywood industry. They point out that she started acting in Tamil films three years ago and has already completed three projects — Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), Genie, and Vaa Vaathiyaar.

However, none of these films have been released yet. Fans say repeated financial issues have kept all three stuck in limbo, leaving Krithi waiting for her big Tamil breakthrough.

According to fans, Krithi seems to be facing bad luck. LIK now has a December 18 release date, but Genie and Vaa Vaathiyaar still don’t have confirmed dates. Both have seen multiple delays, frustrating fans who’ve followed her journey closely.

Supporters believe that if these films finally release, Krithi Shetty will shine in Kollywood. Each project offers a distinct story and showcases her range as an actress.

So far, only teasers and singles have been released — Abdi Abdi from Genie, plus early promos from LIK and Vaa Vaathiyaar. Despite the buzz, doubts remain about whether the films will actually hit theatres this December.

Reports suggest the Vaa Vaathiyaar team is trying to fix financial issues to release the film soon, while there’s no update from the Genie team. For now, fans are waiting to see if Krithi finally gets her long-awaited Tamil release this December.
