4th Biopic in Bollywood goes from Tollywood

‘Bhaag Milka Bhaag’, a biopic on athlete Milkha Singh is a precedent for many biopics to follow on sportspersons in Bollywood. After that ‘Mary Com’ followed. Currently, three biopics namely ‘Azhar’, Sachin’ and ‘MS Dhoni’ are the topic of B’Town. All three on cricketers.

While Azhar is released and failed to impress, the other two biopics are gearing up for theatrical release. Now one more biopic on Pullela Gopichand is going to go from Tollywood to Bollywood. We know that Sudheer Babu is playing the lead role and the project is still in the pre-production stage.

After Sudheer’s successful debut into Bollywood and recognition, the makers of the film have decided to make the fim into a bilingual in Hindi and Telugu and if possible, into a trilingual…i.e., in English as well. Since Pullela Gopichand is an Indian Badminton player, his story will interest people across the country.
