The theatrical returns in the Hindi market have become a yardstick to measure the pan Indian stardom of Bollywood superstars. While Prabhas and Allu Arjun are the obvious market leaders we are seeing new entries in this space.
Recently, it was Junior NTR to collected in the vicinity of ₹70 crore with Devara. The Hindi theatrical returns of this film were moderately good and they made Devara decent follow-up film after RRR.
Now we have from Charan, who is raring to enter the Hindi space with Game Changer. It is a fact that this film has Bollywood Star Diva Kiara Advani in the female lead role. But box office wise, it is Ram Charan who will have to do the heavy lifting as Kiara can’t add much of a box office prospect
At a time when even mainstream Bollywood heroes like Varun Dhawan are struggling to post even decent openings. It is certainly going to be a task and a half for Charan to put up mention worthy numbers with Game Changer.
To put things into a perspective, Devara earlier made Rs 70 crore nett in Hindi, followed by Pushpa 2 which is in the vicinity of Rs 700 crore nett.
It is to be understood that Game Changer can’t do something even close to Pushpa 2. But the minimum target here is going to be the 70 crore mark that was earlier achieved by Devara. The bragging rights for mega and Nandamuri fans will depend on whether or not Game Changer crosses 70 crore mark in Hindi.
