Only couple of days have passed since the release of Bombay Velvet starring Bollywood’s new age star, Ranbir Kapoor and it is already being termed as one of the biggest disaster of all time among the Hindi films, if not the biggest.

The writing looked clearly on wall the way buzz was being heard in the industry. There were lots of negative press that was generated for the film prior to the release and now post release all the worst fears have come true. Bombay Velvet that was released in over 2500 prints has witnessed an opening collection less than 6 Cr.
The trade is expecting the film to wrap up below 40 Cr lifetime as now and if that happens this 100 Cr plus budgeted movie would be among the greatest debacles of all time and undoubtedly the biggest in the modern era. What’s worse is that this is the third successive disaster for hero Ranbir Kapoor.
