Megastar Chiranjeevi kickstarted ‘Viswambhara’ which is one of the more interesting films in his recent lineup, being a fantasy thriller. Incidentally, there is an 18-year coincidence that is going Chiru’s way and it has something to do with Trisha.
Back in 2006, after Chiranjeevi was accorded Padma Bhushan he did Stalin which had Trisha in the female lead role. Keeping aside the box office verdict, Stalin is one of the looked-upon films in Chiru’s lineup.
Several years later, Chiru and Trisha were supposed to come together for Acharya. But Trisha walked out of the project later.
And now, 18 years later, Chiranjeevi was accorded Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian award in India, and coincidentally, Trisha who paired with him in Stalin after he became a recipient of Padma Bhushan, is back to starring alongside him again in Viswambhara.
Viswambhara also happens to be one of the costliest projects in his career and a lot is at stake with this film as it is Chiru’s immediate next film after the Padma Vibhushan achievement.
The film is funded by UV Creations and there are reports that the film is to be made on a massive budget. Director Vassishta made a winning debut with Bimbisara and he is handed with the responsibility of handing one of Chiru’s more important films till date.
