New entrants taking gambles with small movies

Abhishek Pictures are new entrants as far as distribution of the film goes. They hit the jackpot with the film Srimanthudu and have not looked back ever since.

They are currently looking at aggressive acquisition of movies to increase their clout and for that they have picked some eagerly awaited small films. First they picked entire Andhra Pradesh and Telangana rights of Nani’s Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha and now they have got another one. It is a gamble they are taking with small films.

Director Nandini Reddy’s latest offering Kalyana Vaibhogame has been snapped up by Abhishek Pictures worldwide. It is now assured that the film will get very good release. But can the film make use of it? Let’s see.
