The Only Savior For Telugu Audience In COVID Second Wave

The COVID Second Wave has deprived people of all entertainment options once again. During the Lockdown last year, the OTT has come to the rescue of the people with some content or the other. We have also seen a handful of films directly landing on OTT.

But this time, things seem to be different. Even the small and medium budget films were also hopeful of the future and are rigid about waiting for the theaters to open. In all probability, the OTT majors do not have many chances to offer such acquired content.

At this juncture, Aha Video seems to be the only savior for the Telugu audience. The OTT platform had decent releases like 11th hour, Thellavarithe Guruvaram, Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, Sulthan, and a direct Online release like Thank You Brother so far.

There is a dubbing film like Vijay Sethupathi. It is coming up with a web series starring Priyadarshi titled ‘In The Name of God’ releasing later this month. While other OTT giants may offer one or two Telugu projects, Aha Video is the only platform continuously churning out content be it Originals, dubbing films, post-theatrical films, or direct Online releases, and others.

If not for the OTT platform, this period would have been even tougher for the Telugu audience.
