AI in South Indian cinema

Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly prevalent in the Indian film industry with more and more filmmaker, starting to depend on the same for visual and audio composition.

This was followed by the makers of Dhanush and Vetrimaran upcoming film, which also happens to be revolving around Lord Muruga, releasing an AI generated video for their announcement yesterday.

It is becoming overwhelming clear that several big films have started to use AI for emotional material generation, and it is becoming very much blatant to the eye.

If the audience are interested in AI content, they can generate it for themselves with just a few clicks on the keyboard, and there is no need for a dedicated Hero and Director to come up with something like this. This is the simple logic that film makers used to be missing.

Moreover, it is a standard practice in South Indian cinema to abuse a new technical trend so very much that people grow vexed with it a dispose it. It appears that we are on a similar trajectory with regard to the usage of AI for South Indian films these days.
