Although Ajith Kumar’s last film Good Bad Ugly, was a huge commercial success, the actor has not yet started production for his next film, which has led to many theories and discussions on social media.
Sources suggest that because of Ajith Kumar’s high salary demand, no producers are coming forward to produce his films and even his next project with Adhik Ravichandran is now in limbo without a producer.
In this situation, Kollywood insiders have made a shocking claim on social media that Telugu producers are ruining Tamil cinema and that Ajith Kumar’s current situation is evidence of this impact.
They claim that the huge remuneration paid by Telugu producers to Ajith Kumar and Vijay has completely changed the industry’s economics because, after those films, the stars are now expecting a similar salary for their upcoming projects, which has become a huge burden for Tamil cinema producers.
Additionally, they suggest that even supporting actors, music composers and technicians are being paid higher salaries in Telugu cinema than in Tamil cinema. Consequently, it has become a major problem for the Tamil industry, as when Tamil producers pay high remuneration out of necessity, they struggle to recover the budget even if the films are a commercial success. Therefore, by pointing all of this out, they claim that Telugu producers are turning into a huge threat to the Tamil industry.
In response to this, Kollywood trackers are suggesting that the only solution for this problem is that Tamil actors should do films on a profit-sharing basis instead of demanding a full salary before filming.
However, these shocking claims from Kollywood insiders have sparked a heated discussion on social media and many people are sharing their responses to it.
