Akhanda To Miss A Big Opportunity?

Balakrishna Akhanda has wrapped up its shoot with only two songs remaining to be canned. Of late, there were unconfirmed reports that Akhanda will be released on October 8 as a Dasara special. With RRR calling off from October 13 and moving to next year release, many cited this as a golden opportunity for Akhanda to cash in on the festive season.

Now, it seems to be upside down. Akhanda has heavy post-production work to be wrapped up. And only if the film completes the work by September, it will eye for Dasara release. As it involves heavy VFX works, it is rumored that Akhanda may not make it in October.

If Akhanda misses the October release then it is bound to lose a golden opportunity. Dasara being a festive season is ideal for film releases. And also Most Eligible Bachelor and Kondapolam are the only releases in October.

With no big competition in sight, Dasara makes ideal for Akhanda release. And if the film gets pushed, then it has to scout for a new date in December. Next month makers are set to release the first single. The mass masala entertainer has a huge buzz among Nandamuri fans as the duo previous films – Simha and Legend were blockbusters and money churners at the ticket window.
