The rumors are true. Akhil Akkineni’s upcoming movie Lenin will not release on June 26 as planned. The film has been officially postponed and will now hit theaters on July 10, 2026.

Actor and producer Nagarjuna confirmed the news on social media. He explained that the team requested a little more time to finish the film perfectly without rushing.

“Team #Lenin came to me with a request,” Nagarjuna tweeted. “They asked for a little more time to give their absolute 100% and create something very special. Their passion and spirit made me say yes. మనోడు 10th July వస్తున్నాడు. I say again you will see a new Akhil!!”

Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, Lenin is a village action drama starring Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead. The two-week delay will allow the team to complete the final VFX and sound mixing smoothly.

From a business standpoint, the move is also smart. It gives Lenin a clean solo release window, away from the heavy theatrical rush of recent releases in the Telugu states
