Sandhya Theatre Case: Allu Arjun Skips Personal Court Appearance

Allu Arjun in Sandhya Theatre case

Actor Allu Arjun did not personally attend the Nampally Court in Hyderabad on Monday for a scheduled hearing regarding the Sandhya Theatre stampede incident.

The actor reportedly requested an exemption from personal appearance, citing his busy movie shooting schedules as the reason for his absence.

The legal proceedings stem from a tragic crowd crush that occurred in December 2024 during a premiere event for his film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, at the Sandhya Theatre.

The incident resulted in the tragic death of a woman and left her minor son seriously injured. Following an extensive investigation into the security failures and crowd management lapses that night, the Chikkadpally police filed a comprehensive charge sheet naming a total of 23 individuals as accused in the case.

In the official charge sheet, the police have designated the management and partners of Sandhya Theatre as Accused No. 1 through 10 (A1 to A10), while listing Allu Arjun as Accused No. 11 (A11).

While the court recently issued summons to 19 of the primary accused to begin formal trial proceedings, the actor’s legal team has stepped in to manage his absence by highlighting his professional filming commitments.
