AAA Premiers – Test for Both

Ravi Teja has a decent market in the Telugu States but still didn’t have half-a-million in the US. His previous movie ‘Nela Ticket’ collected a negligible sum of $76,355. His biggest grosser in the US was ‘Balupu’ that collected $449 K plus and that is the closest to half-a-million. The other movies including his last hit ‘Raja The Great ($387 K plus) were nowhere near half a million at the US Box-office..

Coming to Srinu Vaitla, the director used to have a decent reputation among the US audiences as his comedy used to be like a stressbuster. Recently, he lost that reputation by the virtue of his recent films that disappointed the audiences big time both in the US and in the domestic market. His last release ‘Mister’ featuring Varun Tej was a washout in the US collecting only $77 K.

In this scenario, it has become really interesting how the combination of Ravi Teja and Srinu Vaitla would work in the overseas. The talk from the premiere shows in the US will be the key to how the movie will open and if it is decent, the movie can post some decent figures going by the combination. Let’s wait and see if ‘Amar Akbar Anthony‘ can prove to be a great relief for the filmmaker and the lead actor.
