Big names like Rajkumar Hirani, Rohit Shetty, Ali Abbas Zafar, Kabir Khan, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have faced disappointing results with their recent films.

This shift has opened a window of opportunity for Southern directors to make a mark in the North, with its vast market offering enormous profit potential.
Among those eyeing the Bollywood market is director Anil Ravipudi, known for his consistent success in making family entertainers with a comic touch. His films have a comedy appeal, and a successful film in Bollywood could become a huge turning point for him.

Recently, in an interview, Anil expressed interest in remaking his latest blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunnam with Salman Khan in the lead. The film has earned around ₹225 crores gross at the worldwide box office.
Anil believes that Salman Khan would be an ideal fit for the role, and if it happens, it could strike big at the box office. The question now is whether Salman Khan will consider the offer.

However, Salman is way behind in terms of comic timing when compared to Venkatesh. Fans feel Salman cannot match the natural performance of Venky in such hilarious roles.
