The last time, Jr NTR needed a killer music album, Anirudh delivered with his brilliant work for Devara. This is one of the memorable albums for NTR in recent times and it vastly boosted the box office prospect of this film.
Now, Anirudh is again collaborating with NTR for God Of War which is based on Hindu God, Karthikeya and this film is an early stages of production.
In the meanwhile, a big section of the Tamil audience have already started to despise this film and their even spreading hate campaigns. This is due to the fact that the makers of this NTR film had earlier released the statement, saying Karthikeya is God from North and is worship in South. This did not sit well with Tamil folk as they claim Karthikeya to be one of their own.
In response, Dhanush is also making a film with the same genre and subject with Vetrimaran, directing it.
What is per certain is that the Tamil folk have extreme hate towards this NTR film now, and they will put it on display every now and again. This will eventually play into Anirudh Ravichander, who is composing the music for the film.
Considering the shrewd mindset of the majority of Tamil folk on social media, they would certainly hold something against Anirudh for composing music for this film. Every aspect, including the composition and lyrics will be closely scrutinised by Tamil folk and Anirudh will run the risk of facing backlash from his own folk.
The is still long time to go for corrections and presentations but for now Anirudh is taking a risk by being associated with this project while Tamil people are holding so much grudge against it. He is certainly doing this job for NTR and Trivikram and the onus is on them to give him a strong product to work on.
