Anita shocked to hear about Uday Kiran

Anita Hassanandani who acted with Uday Kiran in two movies Nuvvu Nenu and Jai Sriram, says she was in big shock when Uday Kiran’s close friend called her to inform about his suicide. Her immediate reaction was “What are you saying? It can’t be true”, she says it took time for her to believe it. She recalls, they both were very happy when Nuvvu Nenu turned into a super hit and the last time she spoke to Uday was after his wedding.

Anita and Uday stayed in touch over the years but it wasn’t very frequent. Anita feels he is very down to earth and the Uday she knows is very strong individual.

She feels industry is a messed up world and an innocent person like Uday Kiran felt lost. She still wishes Uday’s suicide news wasn’t true. The duo worked together for Nuvvu Nenu in Teja’s direction became a very big hit back in 2001.
