Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s ready for release film (Thalaivaa) Telugu remake’ titled Anna -Born to Lead. Naayak fame Amala Paul plays the female lead in the movie. The movie is set to hit screens for Eid on August 9th so it has face tough competition with Sharukh’s Chennai Express out side AP and has to bear the heat from Pawan Kalyan’s Attharintiki Dharedhi which is scheduled to release on August 7th.
Since Vijay’s last outing Tupaki did very well at box office, trade pundits have analyzed ‘Thalaivaa’ would enter Rs 150-crore club. Producer Chandraprakash of this movie is confident about the box office prediction and says Vijay’s satellite rights fetches a bomb and he is very sure that Thalaivaa would collect more than Tupaki. Speaking of box office records Rajnikanth starrer Robo is the only Tamil film which has netted collections close to Rs 150 crore.
Telugu audience have graciously accepted Suriya and his films run with packed houses in Andhra. Now Vijay set his eyes on us to expand his horizon. We will have to see if he can become successful here.
