It has been a real let down for the US buyers regarding the trade of the recent releases. Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Katamarayudu’ bombed big time in the US and ‘Guru’ with positive and good ratings surprised and disappointed US trade big time.

Guru collected $166k and hence it also turned out to be disappointing. Buyers thought ‘Maniratnam’s ‘Cheliyaa’ (KaatruVeliyadai’ in Tamil) will bring better news for them. But, ‘Cheliyaa’ couldn’t live up to that anticipation. Its poor content added to the disappointments for the US trade, in a row.
The Telugu version collected $48K which is very poor. ‘Kaatru Veliyadai’ collected $174. Though better than Telugu, this figure isn’t enough to satisfy the US buyers. Especially, when the weather is getting warmer and poor content disappointing the trade, the next hope is only on Baahubali.
