The movie, where Pakistan has an integral role, has reportedly been cleared for release in Pakistan by the Central Censor Board. Being the first movie with the Indo-Pak theme to reach such levels, it has become a pioneer for better relations for India with the country for future films.
Nevertheless, the clearance received by Bajrangi Bhaijaan did not come without a price. The film, which will hit the screens on Friday, was cleared by the Lahore Censor Board only after two cuts which, according to an unnamed source were, “a shot of the Pakistani embassy” and another “a shot of a Maulvi at the border saying, ‘Radhe Shyam’.”
