The director, producers, and Balakrishna reportedly decided to shelve the historical storyline and move forward with a simple and fresh script. This decision did not come without reasons. A historical film requires extensive time for execution, large-scale production design, and significantly higher budgets. Given the current situation in Tollywood, such a project would involve considerable risk.
At present, OTT rights and Hindi satellite rights are not fetching the kind of prices they once did. With the market being relatively dull, the makers felt that investing heavily in a large-budget historical film could create unnecessary financial pressure. As a result, they chose a safer and more practical route.
Following this decision, Gopichand Malineni narrated a new story to Balakrishna, which reportedly impressed him. Balakrishna agreed to proceed with this fresh concept, and script work is currently underway.
