3 Films, Endless Hype: Can AKT Finally Deliver at BO?

Bhagyashri Borse from her latest film

Bhagyashri Borse is one of the newest faces in Telugu cinema. She is still finding her footing, but there is no denying her natural charm and flawless beauty. She first entered Tollywood with Ravi Teja’s Mr. Bachchan. The film turned out to be a big flop at the box office. Even then, Bhagyashri managed to stand out, especially in the songs. Viewers appreciated her confidence, her screen presence, and her dance skills.

Her next film was Kingdom with Vijay Deverakonda. She hoped it would give her the breakthrough she was waiting for. That film also did not do well. Two flops in a row created pressure on her early career. Her next set of releases therefore became even more crucial.

She then pinned her hopes on Kaantha and Andhra King Taluka. Kaantha released this week on November 14. Bhagyashri felt the story offered her enough scope to shine. She was not wrong. Critics and a section of the audience praised her beauty, her composure, and her skills as an actor. Some even said she held her ground strongly opposite Dulquer Salmaan in several key scenes. The film however received a mixed response overall at the box office. This left her with another setback even though her performance was appreciated.

Across all her films, one thing stands out. Bhagyashri has been improving with each project. The issue has never been her acting. The right script simply has not come her way yet. What she needs now is one solid success to stabilize her career and open the door to bigger opportunities.

That hope now rests on Andhra King Taluka with Ram Pothineni. It will be released on November 28. The film is important for the hero and also for Bhagyashri. She is expecting this film would give her the much-needed and much-deserved success to gain confidence as a saleable heroine. If the film connects well with the audience, it could become the turning point she has been waiting for.
