The makers of Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak have once again reiterated January 12th release date. It has been a massive issue for the past few weeks. Recently the official posters removed the date, too. The producers are taking the fans on a ride with this uncertainty in approach.
Under normal circumstances, a January 12th release wouldn’t be an issue. It was the case when it was first officially announced. Many others too came up with dates, and that included Radhe Shyam, as well. However, things changed once RRR locked on January 7th.
The event film that RRR is and the budget it is made on, many expected it to be given freeway. The expected happened with many moving out. But, Radhe Shyam stuck to its date. They did not budget from January 14th. It was also okay for the industry as they were pan-India biggies and belonged to different genres. The market could take two biggies for the Sankranthi festival.
Bheemla Nayak could still have a solo release any week, but the extraordinary circumstances vis a vis Pawan Kalyan and the state government is causing all the headache for the makers. They couldn’t lock a new release date despite several dates being thrown around.
A war of sorts has broken among the ‘Mega’ fans with the mere assumption that Bheemla Nayak would come for Sankranthi 2022 only. Now that it is official, things will further escalate.
The announcement of a release date is fine, but arriving amidst two pan-India biggies and getting (and holding) screens during the festival period would be an arduous task for the makers. The fans will indeed for a wild ride of their life with all the updates that will come their way if the makers stick to the date and don’t change it any further.
Saagar K Chandra directs Bheemla Nayak. Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati are the leads in the mass entertainer. S Thaman provides the music, whereas Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is the producer.
