Dhurandhar 2 has landed in fresh trouble after a shoot in South Mumbai. The issue arose following filming activities in the historic Fort area.
The film is directed by Aditya Dhar. Reports say the crew used firecrackers and lit torches during a night shoot on February 14.
Despite warnings, the team allegedly continued filming. This raised serious concerns as the Fort area houses protected heritage buildings and residential occupants.
Officials pointed out that the use of firecrackers and open flames late at night could endanger both civilians and infrastructure. The area is classified as highly sensitive due to its vintage structures.
Because of these violations, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is reportedly considering blacklisting Aditya Dhar’s B62 Studios. If enforced, the studio may be barred from booking any filming locations in Mumbai.
In addition, the makers were reportedly penalised for using unauthorised equipment. They were also fined for filming on rooftops without prior permission.
Officials from the Mumbai City Council are said to be ensuring that future filming follows safety rules and security norms strictly. The incident has caused major concern for the production team.
This is not the first legal hurdle for Dhurandhar 2. Earlier, the crew was fined while filming a scene involving Sanjay Dutt without obtaining necessary permissions.
With each schedule facing obstacles, the film’s journey appears increasingly challenging. It remains to be seen whether the makers will face stricter action beyond monetary penalties.
