Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan is planning a grand comeback with the spy action thriller, Pathaan, scheduled to release on January 25, 2023. The teaser of the film was recently released and the response has been mixed. Especially the poor VFX shown in the teaser has come under the scanner.
There are some items in the Bollywood media where they are blaming the South industry and their PR for the unnecessary trolling of Pathaan. The Bollywood media has made it a North Vs. South issue.
There is also an ongoing war between Bollywood fans and Prabhas fans on social media regarding a clip from Saaho posted by Netflix on their account. SRK fans are trolling Saaho and saying people coming from the south industry who make films like Saaho don’t have any right to troll Pathaan.
Bollywood fans must realize that Saaho did HIT business in the North and it was those people who supported it and made it a success. South fans rejected a substandard film like Saaho because they have high standards.
Bollywood media should also understand that planting such stories wouldn’t do them any good. Instead, they should work on coming up with better products.
South industry and south cinema fans have always been kind to Bollywood cinema. A recent example is Brahmastra, which achieved breakeven in the South despite mixed talk.
