Following the back to back failures of Idli Kadai and Kara, Dhanush is now all set to make a comeback with his next release Om directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, which is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on November 20th.
Simultaneously, he is starring as the lead in a commercial entertainer tentatively titled D56, directed by Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, who is known for his film Lubber Pandhu. The shooting of this film is currently progressing at a brisk pace, and the team is aiming to release it next summer.
Even though there are no official updates on Dhanush’s project following D56, sources suggest that D57 will be helmed by Siruthai Siva under the 7 Screen Studio banner.
Amidst this buzz, there is also strong speculation that Dhanush has recently heard narrations from directors Jithu Madhavan and Venkat Prabhu for his 58th film.
Furthermore, after hearing the narrations, it seems Dhanush liked both scripts. Consequently, there is a strong possibility that he might include both projects in his lineup for his 58th and 59th films.
In response to this speculation, many Kollywood insiders on social media suggest that Dhanush’s collaboration with Venkat Prabhu is almost finalized and will most likely be his 58th film.
They claim that the collaboration with Jithu Madhavan will only be finalized after the release of Scene. If Scene emerges as a successful venture, only then might Dhanush join hands with him. Hence, the box-office fate of Scene will decide the future of this project.
Meanwhile, Dhanush’s fans are happy about these updates and believe that if the project with Jithu Madhavan materializes, it will be a sure-shot blockbuster. Furthermore, many are urging him to prioritize this project over the one with Venkat Prabhu.
Ultimately, all these are just social media speculations with no official confirmation yet. It remains to be seen whether Dhanush will collaborate with Venkat Prabhu or Jithu Madhavan for his 58th film and how D58 will take shape.
