Buzz: Akhil’s Next Postponed Indefinitely!

Akhil Akkineni‘s Agent directed by Surender Reddy was one of the much-hyped films that hit the screens this Friday. Akhil Akkineni has been sporting his ‘Agent’ look for a long time and it was expected that the film will be a huge hit and will catapult Akhil to a star hero status.

Instead, the film ended up being an embarrassing BO dud. The film didn’t meet even the minimum expectations of the audience.

Meanwhile, his next which was in the stage of the announcement has been postponed indefinitely. The film was to be directed by Anil under the banner of UV creations. Anil worked as an associate for UV Creations’ Saaho and Radheshyam. This film was supposed to be a high-octane film with loads of action.

But after the disastrous performance of Agent, UV Creations has now postponed the announcement of the film. The original plan was to announce the film in a big way once Agent became a success. But after Agent, UV Creations seem to be not so sure about this project anymore.

Incidentally, talk in the industry is that UV Creations too is facing a financial crunch, and Akhil’s market value after Agent has also taken a severe hit.

Maybe the makers will now recalibrate the financial dynamics of the film before proceeding further and that could be one of the major reasons for the indefinite postponement of the film.

So, for all Akkineni fans out there, the bad phase seems to continue as a film from Akhil may not happen anytime soon!
