Akhil Akkineni was expected to become a star hero after Agent. Not just Akkineni fans but even the neutrals were hopeful that Akhil will finally deliver a big hit with Agent. But the film sank without a trace just after its first show and turned out to be the biggest disaster in recent times.
When Akhil made his first appearance in Manam, everyone thought that the real Vaarasudu of the Akkineni clan has arrived. But unfortunately, Akhil has been a big failure right from his debut film Akhil to Agent. Even Naga Chaitanya’s career looks in better shape in comparison now.
Akkineni fans have always been blaming Nagarjuna that he is not setting up big projects with star directors like Rajamouli, Trivkram, or Boyapati for Akhil as Chiru did for Ram Charan at the beginning of his career.
They feel that Nag is risking the career of Akhil by not involving in the making of his films because of which Akhil is signing projects like Agent without proper guidance.
But it must be realized that even in normal well-to-do families, youngsters don’t listen to their parents these days. They have their own opinion and their own choice. Akhil is not a child who will do whatever his father approves. He has his own vision and he chooses projects that fascinate his imagination.
There are reports that Akhil is doing a film with Anil Kumar, who was an AD for Prabhas’ Saaho. The film will be bankrolled by UV creations and Janhvi Kapoor might be cast as the heroine. An official announcement is awaited.
