Megastar Chiranjeevi delivered another blockbuster this Sankranthi with Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. Released during the Sankranti season, the film has emerged as the highest grosser so far.
While Chiranjeevi is celebrating this success, directed by Anil Ravipudi, concerns remain around his next release. The momentum does not appear equally strong on all fronts.
Chiranjeevi’s socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara completed shooting a while ago and is currently in post production. The film was expected to release much earlier but is yet to see the light of day.
Regardless of the eventual outcome, the makers are keen to conclude the long journey and release the film sooner rather than later. Chiranjeevi also briefly expressed excitement about the project earlier, but that enthusiasm faded after the response to the promotional material.
At present, Vishwambhara appears to have drifted away from media focus. The situation has reached a point where some people may have even forgotten the film’s existence.
Things could change if promotions restart and the quality of content creates renewed interest. For now, audiences will have to wait patiently, as the film’s release does not seem imminent.
