Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao was an icon of the Telugu diaspora. Revered as a “God” by many Telugu people, he was a Superstar on the silver screen and a Megastar in the political arena.
Today is the 101st death anniversary of this legendary actor and former Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.
On this occasion, Megastar Chiranjeevi remembered NTR by sharing a post about him on social media. He also opined that NTR deserves Bharat Ratna.
“The fame of certain individuals is immortal and timeless, serving as an inspiration for future generations. As we remember Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao garu today, I believe that the Bharat Ratna award would be a fitting tribute to his public service.,” Chiru’s tweet read.
“I hope that the central government would fulfil this long-standing desire of the Telugu people,” he further added.
As Chiru mentioned, Telugu people have been waiting for years to see the Indian Government honor NTR with the prestigious Bharat Ratna.
People on social media are hoping the government hears Chiru’s request and honours NTR the Bharat Ratna at least by next year.
