The title Kaaka alone generates curiosity, whereas its title glimpse packs a surprising amount of character, humour, mystery and mass energy. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s latest outing with director Bobby Kolli, produced by Venkat K Narayana under KVN Productions, has chosen an intriguing way to introduce its protagonist and the world surrounding him.
The protagonist is K Satyam, Supervisor, working in the aqua industry and appears like an ordinary middle-aged man. He exchanges pleasantries with people around him, manages his responsibilities. A conversation about scooter keys of his daughter adds an intriguing touch.
The keys fall into the water. Satyam uses a magnet to pull the keys back. Along with them comes an unexpected surprise- guns. The sequence suddenly acquires a mysterious edge, leading into the title reveal Kaaka.
The glimpse then opens another chapter of the story. A younger Chiranjeevi enters with a completely different aura, looking stylish, energetic and fiercely confident. A barrage of gunfire follows, turning the glimpse into a celebration of his mass image. The contrast between the two avatars immediately raises curiosity about the character’s past and the connection between his present and younger versions.
This is where Bobby Kolli’s presentation stands out. Instead of relying solely on a familiar mass template, the director appears to be building intrigue around the protagonist before delivering the elevation. The first half of the glimpse is rooted in character and setting, while the latter portion explodes into style and action.
Vijay Karthik Kannan’s camera work plays a crucial role in this transition. Thaman’s score supports the action effectively, while the remix of Gang Leader song brings a familiar Chiranjeevi flavour into this new setting. Te production standards look lavish.
Chiranjeevi switches effortlessly between the grounded supervisor and the younger action-oriented avatar. His expressions in the lighter moments feel natural, while his swagger in the action portions instantly reminds audiences why his screen presence continues to be a major force.
With the title glimpse, Kaaka has successfully created a combination of curiosity and excitement, showing two shades of Chiranjeevi and promising an explosive dose of mass mayhem. It does not reveal too much about the story, but it reveals enough about the film’s mood, scale and central character to make the next update eagerly awaited.
The film is set to hit worldwide screens on January 13, 2027, as a Sankranthi special.
