Court declines Salman Khan’s plea

Court declines Salman Khan's pleaLatest we have been talking more about Salman Khan’s ‘hit and run’ case. But there is yet another older ‘Arms Act Case’ on Salman Khan for possession of illegal arms and poaching of endangered species black buck. In this 1998 case on Salman, Jodhpur Court turned down the plea of the actor to re-examine the witnesses again.

During the filming of Salman’s film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’, Salman Khan and his co-stars were alleged to be involved in the hunting of black bucks near a village in Konkani in Rajasthan. Poaching these animals is illegal and the arms Salman used for poaching were illegal as license of the arms had expired.

This 16-year long case is still dragging in Jodhpur Court and many times Salman Khan got exemption from attending the court citing various reasons. His fresh appeal to re-examine the five witnesses has been turned down by the court, which is a big failure for the actor. The verdict of the Court in this case might also hopefully come out soon. And of course, higher courts are there for appeal.
