Dallas in particular, has seen a significant spike in Telugu movie collections as more of the Telugu community has relocated to the area, something we’ve reported several times (read here).

By the time Devara premieres on September 26th, NTR’s film is expected to become the highest-grossing Telugu film in Texas for premieres. Remarkably, all of this is happening before the first show even begins.
Currently, the premiere record in Texas (mostly from Dallas) is held by Kalki 2898 AD, which collected $700K.

This is a surprising trend, as many believed such massive collections were exclusive to Prabhas’s films due to the large-scale projects he’s been involved in back-to-back.
