Devara: 2 Parts, Can it Match KGF’s Momentum?

It has become a common tradition for pan Indian big budget films to get a two-part release. The likes of KGF and Pushpa franchises the trend after Baahubali started. Now, we have a new addition.

The makers of Jr NTR and Koratala Siva’s Devara have announced that the film will release in two parts.

Koratala is seen in a promotional video, through which he confirms that Devara will indeed be released in two parts.

“The scale and the canvas of the project are huge. The characters are deep and so is the premise. So, we have decided to release the film in two parts. The shape and form of the story will remain the same, but the canvas and character establishment will be established in two parts.” Siva said.

Siva added that the first part will be released on the 5th of April, 2024, as announced earlier and the second part will be released later. The makers managed to keep the news about the two-part release under the sheets without any leaks, so this update came as a pleasant surprise.

Now, NTR’s line up will be as such – Devara Part 1, War 2, Prashanth Neel’s film, and then, Devara 2.

He is likely to break the consecutive sequel trend by doing other films in the middle. Will Part 2 sustain the momentum? KGF released its 2 parts back-to-back (for both the Hero & Director)?
