Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues its strong run at the box office. The film had earlier made headlines for a possible clash with Toxic, which was later avoided. It has now been a week since Ranveer Singh’s film released in theatres.
Trade experts have started discussing what could have happened if the clash had taken place. Taran Adarsh said that postponing Toxic was the right decision. He noted that Dhurandhar: The Revenge already had a strong hold before release.
He also added that a clash could have created unnecessary negativity. Advance bookings may have been affected, along with disputes over screen allocation. Such situations often lead to reduced visibility for both films in theatres.
Exhibitor Raj Bansal shared a similar view on the situation. He said Toxic might have struggled if it released on Eid. According to him, the makers were likely aware of the strong buzz around Aditya Dhar’s film.
Actor and producer Viveck Vaswani presented a different perspective. He felt Dhurandhar: The Revenge would have received fewer shows due to Yash’s popularity. He estimated that the film’s business could have dropped by nearly 33 percent.
Viveck also explained that show distribution would have changed at single screens. Instead of three shows, Dhurandhar: The Revenge might have received only two. SSR Cinemas CEO Satadeep Saha added that both films could have faced losses despite full theatres.
While Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues its successful run, attention now shifts to Toxic. Audiences are waiting to see if it can match the expectations created by its promotions and overall hype.
