Allu Arjun’s most ambitious film Raaka, with Tamil director Atlee, released its first look and title poster a few days ago and received decent to mixed responses.
Last night, Hardik Pandya made a gesture on the field, raising his hand with two fingers pointing in the air.
This triggered unnecessary negativity around Allu Arjun and Raaka, after his digital PR team confidently claimed that Pandya recreated the Icon Star’s Raaka gesture during the ongoing MI vs RCB match, calling it “Raaka mania.”
As expected, Allu Arjun fans owned it and started thigh slapping, but it was immediately trashed and heavily trolled by fans of other star heroes.
In fact, the claim itself looked funny, as the Raaka pose hasn’t made a strong impact yet.
It is too early for such hype, but the overconfident team pushed it, probably because something similar worked earlier with Pushpa’s “Thaggede Le” gesture.
This could have been easily avoided. Tomorrow, if any cricketer does Raaka gesture, trolls will dismiss it as paid promotion.
