Did Akhil’s Lenin Kill the Hype for Varanasi Star in Telugu?

Prithviraj's I, Nobody Telugu release buzz

Prithviraj is returning to theatres with I, Nobody, directed by Nissam Basheer, after the disappointing performance of Vilayath Buddha. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on July 9, and advance bookings have already opened across several centres in Kerala.

While I, Nobody has generated good pre-release buzz in Kerala, the Telugu version has received very little attention ahead of its July 10 release. The film is set to arrive a day after the original Malayalam version reaches cinemas.

Prithviraj became more familiar to Telugu audiences after playing Vardharaja Mannaar in Salaar. He is also part of SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, leading many to believe that stronger promotions could have helped create better awareness for the Telugu release of I, Nobody.

According to social media discussions, the heavy promotional campaign for Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin may have overshadowed I, Nobody in the Telugu market. With Lenin being promoted as Akhil’s comeback film, it has attracted significant attention from audiences.

As a result, many Telugu moviegoers are reportedly unaware that I, Nobody is releasing this week. The lack of promotional visibility has made it difficult for the film to generate the expected excitement outside Kerala.

With limited pre-release buzz in Telugu states, the film’s box office performance may depend heavily on positive word of mouth after release. It remains to be seen whether I, Nobody can surprise audiences and achieve commercial success across multiple markets.
