Trailer Talk: Creepy & Haunting, Fans Shaken

This Halloween brings something exciting for Malayalam cinema as Pranav Mohanlal’s Dies Irae gears up for a worldwide release. It marks his first horror film, though the industry already has a strong record in this genre.

The trailer, released yesterday, instantly created unease by revealing that the story is based on true events. Its chilling visuals, carefully chosen colours, and haunting background score made viewers uneasy without relying on jump scares.

The story teases a generational curse that runs deeper than ghosts or shadows. The house in focus feels alive, hiding secrets within its silence and darkness. Suspense builds not from what is shown, but from what lurks unseen.

Director Rahul Sadasivan reunites with his Bramayugam team, including cinematographer Shehnad Jalal, production designer Jothish Shankar, editor Shafique Mohamed Ali, and composer Christo Xavier. Their combined work already assures audiences of a gripping experience.

Fans praised the trailer’s eerie atmosphere and Pranav’s unsettling performance. Many expect a chilling blend of folklore, psychological unease, and supernatural terror. With high expectations from both the actor and the creative team, all eyes are now on Dies Irae.
