He expressed confidence that Pranav Mohanlal is set to leave a strong mark on the genre.
While specific plot details remain under wraps, director Rahul Sadasivan hinted that audiences can expect something distinctly different from his previous work.
He explained that the film explores a completely different emotional spectrum, one that resonates with the new generation, and features a fresh narrative style and mood compared to his earlier project.
The production retains much of the core creative team from Bramayugam, indicating that Night Shift Studios is building a consistent voice in the genre while continuing to innovate.
Concepts like Dies Irae require not just an edgy premise, but also the right talent and uncompromising quality.
Pranav is new to the horror and thriller genre. He has previously appeared in romance, drama, and action films, but this is uncharted territory for him.
It will be interesting to see whether he can match his father’s intensity in thrillers like Drishyam, or even surpass it.
