After blockbusters like KGF-2 and Salaar, star director Prashanth Neel is now joining hands with Jr. NTR for a high-octane action thriller. The film features Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead and promises a grand pan India release.
The project is backed by leading banners Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts. Though the title Dragon is being widely discussed in film circles, the makers have not given an official confirmation yet.
Despite multiple projects in his lineup, Jr. NTR is said to be pinning his highest hopes on this film. After the poor box office run of his Bollywood debut War 2 directed by Ayan Mukerji, he is eyeing a strong comeback with this big-budget venture. The film is tentatively set for release on June 25 next year.
Production is progressing at a brisk pace. A recent schedule in Kunta, North Karnataka, included building a massive factory set, where the team shot for over ten days. The next schedule will begin soon in Hyderabad with another large set under construction.
