OTT has emerged as an integral part of the entertainment industry. For the past few months, multiple intriguing titles were landing on OTT week in week out. But this week appears to be a dull one for the Telugu OTT audience.
The thing is that there are not many new arrivals in the Telugu OTT space this week. Sehari, a comedy caper featuring debutant Harsh Kanumilli and Simran Chaudhary is the only Telugu film arriving on Aha this week. The film premieres on 25th February. This is the solitary new outing in the the Telugu OTT space.
Interestingly, there are no prominent other-language OTT outings either. Drishya 2, the Kannada remake of Drishyam 2 might be considered as an okayish option. But the vast majority of the Telugu audience would have already watched the original version and also the Telugu version, featuring Venkatesh. So, there’s not much intrigue surrounding Drishya 2.
As it appears, the Telugu OTT crowd will have to make do with previous releases or go after some international titles which they find interesting.
