There are multiple new theatrical outings this Sankranthi season, including the biggie Guntur Kaaram, and a crop of mid-range films like Saindhav, Naa Sami Ranga, Hanuman, and Eagle.
Since the other day, there have been reports that Eagle, featuring Ravi Teja has opted out of the Sankranthi race and the film’s release has been pushed to Republic Day release.
However, when M9 caught up with sources close to the unit, we got an update on the release postponement rumors.
“We are in second best position after Guntur Kaaram when it comes to theater distribution. There is no need for us to postpone our release.” The team clarified.
This is a clear indication that Eagle is indeed headed for its release this Sankranthi season, barring the situation where something happens in the last gasp and the producers decide to postpone.
As things stand, Ravi Teja’s Eagle is headed for its theatrical debut on the 13th of January, marking the Sankranthi season.
