Ganga Theatre gets a premium makeover

Hyderabad is set to get another premium single-screen theatre. Mythri Movie Makers has taken Dilsukhnagar’s Ganga Theatre on lease and completely renovated it. The theatre is expected to reopen later this month itself.

Mythri is trying to give Ganga the same exquisite experience as its Vimal Theatre in Balanagar, which has quickly become one of the best single screens in Telangana. Instead of simply giving Ganga a new look, Mythri has focused on improving the screen, sound, and seating.

The theatre will have a massive 68-foot screen with a 4K Barco Laser Projector for better picture quality. It will also have a 64-channel Dolby Atmos sound system, similar to Vimal Theatre.

Seating is another major upgrade. Mythri is bringing SR Seating to Ganga, with the same quality of seats planned from Top Class to Third Class. The theatre will also have 25 recliner seats for those who want a more premium experience.

The move is important because Vimal Theatre has been attracting huge footfalls after its renovation. Mythri is now taking the same successful model to Dilsukhnagar, another massive moviegoing area in Hyderabad.

If Ganga offers the same quality as Vimal, it could quickly become another popular destination for movie lovers staying in regions like Dilsukhnagar, Nagole, LB Nagar, Amberpet, and Malakpet.

Mythri is also slowly increasing its presence in the Nizam theatre business. Its theatre expansion could push other single-screen owners to upgrade their properties as well.

Audiences today expect good picture quality, powerful sound, comfortable seating, and a clean theatre experience. Single screens can no longer depend only on big-star films to attract crowds. They also need to provide a good experience overall.
