The Telugu box office has been running dry for the last few weeks with not many interesting options being able to entertain the Telugu audience.
However, this week promises to be a better one as we have multiple options arriving in the theatres correspondingly.
Notable films that are releasing this weekend are Gayapadda Simham and Jetlee. Both of them belong to the comedy genre and their appear to be a lot of slapstick comedy associated with either of them.
Comedy entertainers and summer season go hand-in-hand generally, and this could naturally work in the favour of these two films, if they come with the right kind of content.
But in terms of momentum before the release, it needs to be set that neither of the films have been able to generate too much discourse till now. It will all come down to the kind of content that they put up on the big screen this weekend.
The audience are also desperately searching for comical relief in theatres and naturally open the doors for both the films.
While Simham to be a slapstick comedy based on the deportation from the United States, which is a relevant topic, Jetlee is another comedy piece based on flight journey. There is potential to entertain the audience for both the films, and it will all come down to effective narratives. Both of them will be releasing in theatres on May 1.
