Sumanth Prabhas starrer Godari Gattupaina, directed by Subhash Chandra, is hitting screens worldwide on May 8, preceded by exclusive early premieres on May 7. The film marks producer Abhinav’s debut in the industry and brings together a strong ensemble of seasoned actors and promising young talent. Now, Producer Abhinav interacted with media and shared interesting insights about the film.
The performances are the biggest driving force of this film, starting with the lead actor who stepped completely out of his comfort zone. Recognizing that Sumanth is a native Telangana speaker, the team knew the Godavari backdrop would be a tough hurdle. Abhinav shared, “He learned the Godavari slang perfectly and took it up as a challenge. Only when it is tough, there is satisfaction as an actor.”
Beyond the lead hero, the casting features a beautiful dynamic between veteran actor Jagapathi Babu and heroine Nidhi Pradeep. The director wrote Nidhi’s character with specific traits that she fit into flawlessly. Pointing out their on-screen relationship, Abhinav explained, “The way the emotions are written and filmed is very peculiar. The emotional bond between Jagapathi Babu and Nidhi will be a standout experience to enjoy in theaters.”
The film also benefits from the presence of highly experienced actors like Laila and Rajeev Kanakala. Abhinav credited his mentor Sunil Narang for making it possible to bring such a respected cast on board for his very first production.
