Hero Getting More Love In Telugu Than Home Land

Not often does a hero get more love from another language industry than his home language. But in the case of Malayali superstar Dulquer Salman, the situation is the exact opposite.

Dulquer has quickly become a much-loved star in the Telugu states and that is evident if we have a look at the box office reception of his films. His Seetha Ramam and now, Lucky Bhaskar have reinstated this fact.

Reportedly, Lucky Bhaskar has opened with Rs 10+ crore gross opening on the first day and this is better than what Dulquer usually does in his homeland of Kerala. His Malayalam films also don’t usually get such openings, and the fact that he is doing it in Telugu is interesting.

A hero getting a bigger opening language in another language than his usual language speaks volumes. While Dulquer coming closer to the Telugu folk is one thing, the Telugu folk owning him like their own is another story altogether.

Dulquer consistently doing good films and showing good promise in the Telugu landscape is working well for him. But at the same time, there is some backlash from the Mallu land over Dulquer being more active in Telugu than Kerala. At some point, he might have to address the same.
