Mr. Bachchan marks the reunion of Ravi Teja and director Harish Shankar, with Bhagyashri Borse starring as the female lead. The film is set for a big release on August 15, 2024, clashing with Ram Pothineni’s Double Ismart, directed by Puri Jagannadh.
Interestingly, Mr. Bachchan will have premieres in the Telugu states starting the evening of August 14, a first for a major Telugu hero. While paid premieres are common for smaller films, this will be the first time a big hero’s film is having them.
Double Smart, a sequel to the hit Smart Shankar, will also be released on August 15. With the sequel factor and Mani Sharma’s music, expectations are positive for a good opening.
Mr. Bachchan marks the comeback of Ravi Teja and Harish Shankar together after the 2011 hit Mirapakay. Heroine Bhagyashri Borse is also getting a lot of attention for her beauty and glamor on social media.
In 2021, Ravi Teja’s Crack and Ram Pothineni’s Red clashed during Sankranti. Crack turned out to be a blockbuster and Red was a moderate success.
We have to see if Ravi Teja wins once again or if Ram will surpass Ravi Teja this time at the box office.
The competition also includes Nivetha Thomas’ 35-Chinna Katha Kaadu, Vikram’s Thangalaan (Telugu dub), and Narne Nithin’s Aay, making this Independence Day quite a treat for cinema lovers.
Mr. Bachchan, produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner, features Jagapathi Babu as the antagonist and several notable actors in supporting roles. Mickey J Meyer composed the music for the film.
