The director of the Malayalam movie ‘Idi’ traced that his movie was streamed online a Facebook page from Thursday evening onwards, that means before the film’s release. Then, the director immediately filed a complaint with the Cyber Cell on the piracy of his movie by the Facebook page. Later, the page was removed after he filed the complaint.
This isn’t the first time that we heard about movie piracy on Facebook. Recently, a student was caught in US when he was live streaming the super hit Trivikram’s movie ‘A.. Aa’ and a complaint was lodged against him. Later, the student was let go with a warning. So, this new-age piracy has increased the woes of filmmakers even more.
