BMS Trends: How Is Vijay Doing In Hyderabad?

Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay is a pretty big name in South Indian cinema, and he has a reasonably strong following in the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as well. This is due to the fact that he had done quality commercial films in the recent decade.

However, his latest film Jana Nayagan, which also happens to be his farewell film had a lot depending on it, considering the emotional connection fans had with this film.

This is reflecting in the bookings that are being displayed on BookMyShow in Tamil Nadu as the numbers are looking very promising at this point. The film is selling around 28,000 per hour in Chennai, which is a pretty strong number.

The trend in Hyderabad is not as encouraging as the film is selling less than 4000 tickets per hour year. The number goes down drastically in other parts of Andhra Pradesh.

Firstly, not many great things were expected of this film in terms of content. It was always going to be the commercial appeal, and the mass image of Vijay which should come to the rescue.

But the audience and their reviewing patterns are changing these days as they are expecting solid stuff in the film, which is precisely where the Director has failed. This is reflecting in the moderate booking trends, which is again a result of the weak opening reviews.
