Only Pan-Indian Film Tricking Tamil Audience

Shah Rukh Khan JawanTamil audiences are very loyal to their language and stars. They don’t patronize or endorse films starring heroes from other languages, even if they are dubbed into Tamil. Except for Baahubali 2 and to some extent RRR, no pan-Indian film has ever been able to make a big mark in Tamil markets.

But there’s one pan-Indian film that has cracked the formula to entice the Tamil audience to theaters. Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is going to release on September 7 and the film is carrying a good buzz in the Tamil markets.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan did well in the Hindi version in the big cities of Tamil Nadu but the Tamil version didn’t do well. So to capture the hardcore Tamil audience in the interiors, Shah Rukh Khan has signed many Tamil actors and technicians for Jawan, including director Atlee, who himself has a fan following in Tamil.

Nayanthara is the heroine, Vijay Sethupathi plays the menacing villain, and Yogi Babu is doing the role of a comedian. Anirudh is scoring the music and Atlee is directing the film. Not only that, it is being speculated that Thalapathy Vijay is also doing a cameo in the film.

Now reports are coming that the teaser launch event is being planned in a big way in Chennai in July, which can be called a masterstroke.

Shah Rukh Khan, being the marketing genius he is, is making sure that Tamil Thambis just cannot ignore his film this time. Let’s see if the content is as good as the star cast and the marketing tactics of Jawan.
